During the new discovery of AI, it was easy to wow customers. If you had a chatbot on your page or an AI router in your contact centre, it made the customers instantly curious. However, with the modernization of technology, the expectations of people with AI have also grown. A simple trick and one way script is no longer useful and interesting enough for new users. Verify: After the fix is applied, the system “watches” for that specific scenario to ensure the error hasn’t repeated.

How do you keep these models from becoming “shelf-ware”? You need an AI-CX Council. This is not a committee for high-level strategy; it is a tactical working group.

  • The CX Lead: To represent the customer’s needs and emotional journey.
  • The AI Engineer: To understand what the technology can and cannot do.
  • The Knowledge Manager: To ensure the “brain” of the AI is fed with accurate data.
  • The Agent Advocate: To ensure the AI is helping, not hindering, the human staff.

The Weekly Agenda:

  1. The “Failure of the Week”: Review one transcript where the AI failed spectacularly. Why did it happen?
  2. The Metric Delta: Look at the “Top 20 Failures” dashboard. Did our fixes from last week move the needle?
  3. The Knowledge Audit: What new company news or product updates happened this week that the AI doesn’t know yet?
